The Western Sümi Hoho has strongly condemned what it described as the “brutal and senseless murder” of Late Vihozhonu Zao, calling it a grave crime against humanity.

In a statement issued by its Media Cell, the Hoho expressed “deep anguish and outrage” over the incident, which occurred on October 25. “We condemn this barbaric act in the strongest possible terms and demand that the accused face the full force of the law. Justice must be swift and uncompromising, no leniency should be shown for such a cold-blooded crime,” it stated.

The organization also commended the Nagaland Police and investigating authorities for their prompt action in apprehending the accused. It acknowledged their “continued resolve in ensuring justice.”

“The Western Sümi Hoho stands firmly with the bereaved family in this time of unbearable loss and assures its full support in the pursuit of justice,” the statement said. It further appealed to all citizens to remain united and cooperate with the authorities until justice is fully delivered.
