Mokokchung, 20 January (MTNews): In a scathing critique of the government’s recent Railway job advertisement, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took to Social Media Platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his dissatisfaction with the Prime Minister’s commitment to addressing unemployment in the country. The tweet came in response to an advertisement by the Ministry of Railways declaring a total of 5695 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot positions.

Gandhi began his tweet by stating, “When every third youth of the country is a victim of unemployment, then the Prime Minister has once again betrayed them.” He went on to highlight the alleged deception faced by hardworking students from ordinary families who dedicate long hours and reside in modest accommodations while harboring ambitious dreams.
The Congress leader questioned the fairness of recruiting only 5696 posts in the Railways after a prolonged five-year wait, particularly in the context of a significant number of vacant positions within the sector. He characterized this as an injustice to competitive students who strive for these opportunities.
Gandhi raised concerns about the government’s recruitment policies, questioning the motives behind reducing railway hiring. He pointedly asked, “For whose benefit is the policy of reducing recruitment in Railways being made?”
The Congress MP added, “Where is the promise of 2 crore jobs every year? Where is the assurance of not privatizing the railways?”
In a bold assertion, Gandhi declared, “One thing is very clear – Modi’s guarantee is an alarm bell for the youth.” He called upon the youth to raise their voices in support of their rights and justice.
