The excitement soared in the 28th Winter Cricket Challenge as Lancer CC and Phyolumo XI emerged victorious, securing their places in the semi-finals.

In the first match, Lancer CC, after winning the toss, opted to bat first and set an imposing target of 186 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets. Wahid Ali played a stellar role with an unbeaten 72, supported by Santosh (34), Moakumzuk (25), and Hayithung Ngullie (21).

While chasing, BBC CC succumbed in the 17th over, falling short by 95 runs and losing all wickets. Yanrenthung Ngullie (26), Abhishek (17), and Penthungo T. Lotha (10) were the only three batsmen to reach double figures.

Wahid Ali was rightfully named the man of the match for his remarkable 72-run contribution.

In the second match, Phyolumo XI won the toss, chose to bat first, and set a target of 178 runs, losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Longkumer (35), Chumdemo (22), Dipen (45), and Nayan (25) were the key contributors.

Despite the efforts of Rampage CC, they fell short, and Phyolumo XI sealed the victory by 47 runs in the 20th over. Nchumthung (44), Renben Mozhui (18), and Mohit Chauhan (21) were the leading scorers for Rampage CC.

Dipen Saharia of Phyolumo XI earned the man of the match title for his impressive 45-run performance.
