Wokha, 8 January (MTNews): The 106th Naga Club Foundation Day was observed at Lotha Hoho Conference Hall, Wokha Town on 7 January. Naga Club Advisor Medoselhou Keretsu gracing the occasion as the guest speaker highlighted the Club’s century-long commitment to uniting and safeguarding the political and social rights of the Naga people. He said that despite the challenges of the past without modern communication, visionary leaders recognized Naga unity, leading to the submission of the Naga Political Memorandum in 1929. Keretsu emphasized the pivotal role of the Naga Club’s representation to the Simon Commission in asserting Naga rights.
Naga Club President Kuolachalie Seyie conveyed the importance of embodying the values of forefathers. He encouraged people to channel the patriotic spirit of their ancestors, emphasizing the need to adopt the right attitude and mindset in facing challenges, mirroring the approach of their forebears.
