During the SDPDB meeting held at the Conference Hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari, on February 13, issues relating to electricity connectivity and maintenance affecting six villages – Mmhayan, Chanka, Yankhum, Old Wozhu, New Wozhu and Litsuyan – were deliberated.
According to a memorandum submitted by the villages, electricity connections are presently routed through Mokokchung district. However, the villages have requested to be brought under Wokha district for improved connectivity and more efficient maintenance services.
Providing an update on power infrastructure, Mhaden Murry, Junior Engineer, Power Bhandari, informed the house that three distribution transformers have recently been installed in the sub-division to enhance electricity supply in underserved areas.
