Fans of Bob Dylan from Wokha will join his fans around the world in celebrating the legendary nasal twanged folk artist’s 80th birth anniversary on May 24. Dylanite 15 shall be a private affair with the organizer De Band inviting only a handful of the Nobel laureate’s fans at an undisclosed location in the district Capital.
The event shall include alfresco jam on Dylan’s popular songs by the members of the band and invited artists. Dylanite 15 shall also include recitation of Dylan’s famous lyrics and discussion on his philosophies related to the growth of society today. Fans will also be allowed to take the stage to belt out their favourite Dylan’s song.
Born Robert Allen Zimmerman, Bob Dylan has many fans in the district and along with De Band, the fans have been celebrating the human right champion and lyricist’s birth anniversary each year since 2008.
