Wokha, 4 June (MTNews): The Youth Ministry of Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) organized a special evening service titled “WTBC Sing,” featuring a choral celebration led by Dr. Renthungo Merry. Dr. Merry, who serves as a music teacher at Frontier Academy and a music director at Grace Church in Greeley, United States, holds a doctorate in music from the University of Northern Colorado.
During the choral celebration, Dr. Merry expressed his heartfelt message to the congregation, acknowledging that he had unintentionally neglected his hometown, Wokha, where he spent his childhood. He emphasized the importance of coming together in a choral celebration to rejoice in God’s love and share that love with the people of Wokha. Dr. Merry highlighted the role of individuals in different professions, emphasizing that, as a music teacher, he praises God through hymns, recognizing that each song reflects the power of the cross and the love of God.
In his address, Dr. Merry encouraged the congregation to remain eager for the word of God, to share the message and God’s love, and to reject sin. He also expressed his appreciation for the parents of the choral members, recognizing their incredible support despite only having a two-day rehearsal. Dr. Merry commended their dedication, resulting in a powerful performance.
The choral celebration took place at the Mother Church, WTBC, and drew hundreds of believers who participated in the event.
