The Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) successfully concluded its six-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme on Basic Fashion Design at CENTY J, 5th Mile, Chumoukedima. The programme was supported by MSME Dimapur.
A total of 28 women participated in the training, which focused on building essential skills in design principles, fashion illustration, pattern making, garment construction, and entrepreneurship. The programme aimed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and entrepreneurial capacity required to launch and sustain fashion-related ventures.
To enhance the learning experience, resource persons from the District Industries Centre, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, and banking institutions conducted sessions on financial literacy and awareness of government schemes available for entrepreneurs. Local entrepreneurs also shared their personal journeys, offering practical insights and motivating participants through real-life experiences.
The valedictory programme was attended by women entrepreneurs and representatives from MSME, who appreciated the participants for their commitment, creativity, and innovation.
The initiative reflects WENN’s continued commitment to capacity building, improving market readiness, and creating sustainable pathways for women-led enterprises in Nagaland’s growing fashion ecosystem.
