A workshop for the dissemination of a comprehensive UIP Review and Development of an Immunization Coverage Improvement Plan was held on the 3rd of May 2023 at De-Oriental Hotel, Kohima.
This workshop aimed to protect every child from vaccine-preventable diseases by achieving 95% full immunization coverage. The ITSU – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare conducted a comprehensive review of Universal Immunization Coverage in the state from the 11th to the 18th of June 2022, and in continuation, this workshop in 2023 was held with the cited objective.
The resource persons, led by Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr Kamlesh Kumar, Dr Sonu Gupta, Dr Swadesh Prasad, Paras Jain, Dr Sandeep Rathod, Dr Mona Chopra, Ashok Sharma, Dr Rajashree Roy, Mahesh Mishra, and Satish Kumar, covered various topics on program implementation, AEFI & VPD surveillance, logistics and supply chain, data recording and reporting, communication, and urban immunization. The workshop concluded with a group work presentation.
