In pursuance of the directive from the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, a workshop on Good Governance Week was held at the DC’s Conference Hall in Phek on 20th December 2024.
DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam, addressed and welcomed the officers during the meeting, while EAC Phek, Imnasenla Walling, chaired the programme. Vetsiyo Vero, District Coordinator from the Medical Department for CMHIS, spoke about the implementation of the CMHIS schemes, covering Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs respectively for the public and government servants, through a PowerPoint presentation during the workshop.
Veyito Nyekha, District Project Assistant under the Education Department, Phek, also gave a PowerPoint presentation on the development activities being undertaken by NECTAR Projects in the district.
EAC Phek, Balong Phom, presented on Grievances Redressal through PowerPoint. He also informed that the public is permitted to meet the Deputy Commissioner for reporting and discussing grievances four days a week, for three hours each day. However, Wednesday and Saturday are restricted days, as reminded by the EAC.
The detailed presentations from the Medical, School Education Departments, and District Administration were followed by a question-and-answer session. Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, ADC Phek, delivered the vote of thanks.
