Mokokchung, September 27 (MTNews): The World Rabies Day is observed every year on the 28th of September and the theme for this year is ‘One Health, Zero Deaths’. World Rabies Day is observed to educate and highlight the people on the seriousness of the dreaded Zoonotic Disease and how to prevent them.
Coinciding with the World Rabies Day, the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) in collaboration with the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services and All Ward Union Mokokchung Town will be conducting a mass Dog Registration cum Vaccination Drive in all the 18 wards under MMC jurisdiction for the year 2022-23 on the 28th and 29th of September 2022.
In order to carry out the drive successfully, MMC has notified a set of guidelines which, among others, stated that the time of vaccination will commence from 8:00 AM as per the date schedule and that, new registration, renewal, vaccine fees and utilization charges shall be as usual.
As per the date schedule, the drive will be held at Lijaba Lijen, Alempang, Alongmen, Artang, Tongdsentsuyong, Majakong, Penli, Dilong and Sungkomen wards on September 28 and at Yimyu, Sangtemla, Mongsenbai, Kumlong, Kichutip, Aongza, Marepkong, Salangtem and Arkong wards on September 29.
