Longleng, 22 December (MTNews): Commemorating 75 years of Christianity, the Yachem Baptist Church celebrated its Platinum Jubilee from December 17 to 19, 2024, at Yachem Village, Longleng, under the theme “Glory to God Alone.” The event featured prominent speakers, including the Executive Secretary of PBCA, N. Tialemba Phom; Senior Pastor of PBAD, C. Hamba Nemdakly; Pastor KPBC, Rev. Phomlee Van; and Women Secretary of PBCA, P Angbhenla Phom.
Delivering God’s divine message, the Executive Secretary of PBCA, N. Tialemba Phom, highlighted the mercy and abundant blessings bestowed upon the people of Yachem over the past 75 years. He called upon the congregation to be ambassadors of God’s purposeful mission, both within and beyond their community.
On the occasion, former Minister S. Pangnyü Phom, retired Secretary Y. Denngan Avennoho, and other dignitaries addressed the congregation, sharing invaluable insights and exhortations for guiding the youth toward progress in every aspect of life.
The program was well attended by every citizen of Yachem, delegates from all Phom Churches, guests from other tribes, in-laws, and loved ones.
The three-day celebration of the Yachem Baptist Church Platinum Jubilee concluded on a grand note under the leadership of Jubilee Planning Committee Chairman M. Takochungba and Yachem Baptist Church Pastor Rev. M. Adao.
