The Yimyu Ward Council conducted a major sanitation drive on Saturday, 11th June 2022, in and around the ward, under the theme ‘Yimyu Ward Sanitation Day’. The main bulk of the work consisted of cleaning up clogged drainages caused by landslides, overgrown weeds etc. The work was carried out by the members of the ward Council who also made monetary contributions among themselves in order to hire an excavator to aid in their work. A donation towards this was also graciously made by the Yimyu Church. The ward Council henceforth decided to make this a yearly event under the name ‘Yimyu Ward Sanitation Day’ to be held on the 2nd Saturday of June every year.
