Longleng, 23 February (MTNews): A one-day special seminar on the topic ‘Union Budget 2024-25: Critical Analysis and Way Forward for the Indian Economy’ was organized by the Research Cell, Yingli College in collaboration with the Department of Economics on 23 February 2024 at Borgohain Hall.

Speaker Dr Mithilesh Kumar Jha discussed the importance of the Union Budget in India. Ms Konchem highlighted the budget for 2024-25, emphasizing that the government’s humane and inclusive approaches to development mark a deliberate departure from the earlier strategy of ‘provisioning up-to-village level.’ Ms Konchem also pointed out that development programs in the last ten years have targeted every household and individual through initiatives such as ‘Housing for All,’ ‘Har Ghar Jal,’ electricity for all, cooking gas for all, bank accounts, and financial services for all, all achieved in record time.
