The Department of Economics at Yingli College, Longleng, conducted an extension service at Yongam village on July 18 with the women, who are primarily vegetable vendors from Longleng town. The faculty members, Dr Chubakumzuk Jamir, Lochumbeni P Shitiri, and Konchem, along with economics major students in their 5th semester, attended the program.
The resource person, Konchem, who is also the HOD, spoke about marketing skills and business ethics. She emphasized that ethical principles such as honesty, integrity, accountability, responsibility, fairness, and lawfulness are crucial in marketing, production, and transactions to build a long-term business image, encourage healthy competition, ensure survival, and foster consumer confidence.
