Kohima, February 9 (MTNews): NPF legislator, YM Yollow Konyak, was sworn in as a cabinet minister at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on 9th February 2022. The “Oath of Office and Secrecy” was administered to YM Yollow Konyak by the Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio; Cabinet Ministers and Advisors; Chairman UDA, T.R. Zeliang; MLAs, bureaucrats and officials from various departments. The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the Chief Secretary of Nagaland, J. Alam, IAS.
YM Yollow Konyak, an NPF legislator, has been allocated the portfolio of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Meanwhile, H.Chuba Chang and S. Keoshu Yimchunger, both from the NDPP, have been appointed as Advisor of Justice & Law and SCERT, and Advisor of Village Guards and Information & Public Relations respectively. H. Chuba Chang was elected unopposed to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly bye-election from 51 Noksen Assembly Constituency in April 2021, while S. Keoshu Yimchunger was also elected unopposed to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly bye-election from 58-Shamator-Chessore in October 2021.
