Kohima, 9 August (MTNews): The Directorate of Art and Culture, Nagaland, Kohima has informed interested candidates to submit applications for Young Talented Artistes Award Scheme for the year 2022-2023.
The area of recognition for the scheme is confined in the following fields: folk and tribal music/song and dance; Hindustani classical music/song and dance; theatre/dance drama/mime; creative arts like painting, wood carvers, cane & bamboo crafts, handloom and handicrafts and pottery.
The eligibility criteria for the scheme are as follows: artist should be Indian citizen; He/she should be an indigenous inhabitant of the member States of NEZCC: He/she should be in the age group of 18 to 30 years unmarried male and female. National/State Awardees are not eligible for the scheme.
Applications of the artistes should be supported by age proof, Permanent Residency Certificate and video clips in scan disk/ pen drive of performance/ pictures of works completed.
Artistes who are interested to apply should submit in the prescribed format which can be obtained from the Office of the Director, North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur or Directorate of Art & Culture/ Cultural Affairs of the member States.
Artistes eligible to apply for the scheme have been requested to submit the applications to the Director, Department of Art & Culture/Cultural Affairs of the concerned State for scrutiny, interview/Demonstration and recommendation to NEZCC for final selection.
Interested candidates have been requested to submit the application on or before 10th September 2023 at the Directorate of Art and Culture, Kohima.
