The 1st Mojabi Futsal Tournament organized by the Küpza Students’ Union at Mojabi Futsal Turf, Salangtem ward, Mokokchung culminated on 11 February with Youngsters Football Club lifting the trophy of the inaugural tournament.
The two-day tournament was held on 10 & 11 February with 32 teams participating.
Imkongtemsu of Chargers FC won the golden glove award, while Youngsters FC had the highest goal score.
A special award was also granted to the tournament’s Youngest Team, NRL FC (11-16 years).
Limatongzu Jamir, President of the Ongpangkong Students’ Conference, presented a brief exhortation earlier in the program.
Youngsters FC won the tournament and took home the trophy, while Chargers FC finished second. The winners and runners-up received cash prizes of Rs 30,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively, as well as certificates.
Individual prize winners received a cash prize of Rs 2000 along with certificates.
