Mokokchung, October 22 (MTNews): Sungratsü Students’ Union, Mokokchung on Saturday held its Excellency Award 2022 program at its Fellowship in Tongdentsüyong Ward, Mokokchung with Temsuwapang Longchar, Vice-Principal DIET, Mokokchung gracing the ceremony as special invitee.
Temjenwapang Longchar while delivering his speech urged students to have solid relational skills, claiming that today’s teenagers lack social and communication skills, and that those abilities are a crucial aspect of the NEP 2020, which focuses heavily on skill development. The struggle of examinations, which one would face when aiming for excellence, was also emphasized and the students were urged to be vigilant in their work and keep discipline.
Speaking on the effect of foreign culture, he encouraged the students to explore their abilities and talents and apply them to shape their gifts and achieve excellence. Today, in this modern environment influenced by globalization, he stated that the most serious issue that millennials confront is depression, which he attributed to “unlimited media consumption,” and advised the youngsters to use media platforms responsibly.
He concluded his remarks by noting that in today’s world of development, one must be a specialist in one’s field and be precise in whatever task one does while combining skills and knowledge by reforming all the positive traits one possesses to flourish.
T. Imlitoshi Walling, Convenor, SSUM Excellency Award Committee presented the Award distribution where eleven students were awarded namely: HSSLC/NBSE Ketienla Aier, Yashimenla Aier, Ajang Aier; ICSE: Tianaro Aier, Temjenlong Aier; HSLC: Supongjungshi, Lautemsu Aier, Aosener Ozukum, Tiasola, Temsutula and Tekanungla.
The criteria for the Excellency Award for HSLC is 60% with distinction in three subjects while for HSSLC is 60% and distinction in two subjects.
Earlier, B. Aoluin Aier, President SSUM gave the welcome address while Watizulu Aier, President SSS (M) exhorted a word of encouragement and S. Akaba (Rtd.CMO) delivered a special prayer for the Awardees.
