Jalukie, 15 December (MTNews): The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) held the inaugural function of the 33rd General Conference of Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland where Minister for Rural Development and SIRD, Metsubo Jamir, graced the function as the Special Guest. The event, held at Jalukie B Local Ground, Peren, brought together students and youth leaders for a day of inspiration and camaraderie.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Jamir expressed his optimism and hope inspired by the conference theme, ‘Knitting a Better Future.’ He underscored the importance of unity in a cohesive community for societal progress and development. Jamir emphasized that the passion and energy of youth and students are the driving forces for the advancement of society.

Highlighting the role of young people, Jamir stated that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the change-makers of today. He painted a vivid picture of youth as fresh threads, full of vigor and potential, ready to be woven into the intricate tapestry of their communities. The inaugural function featured cultural dance performances by Zeme Students, Liangmai Students, and Rongmei Students, adding a vibrant touch to the event. Amonbo Zeliang, Convenor of the Organizing Committee, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the conference. Kibouwi Zeliang, General Secretary of ZSUN, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization, acknowledging the Minister’s presence and the support of the attendees.
