The 1st Open Cricket Running Trophy, organized by Zenith Club Lirmen at Lirmen village, was held from February 12 to 14, 2025, with nine teams participating – six from Nagaland and three from Assam.
In the final match, Zenith Club ‘A’ defeated Mohima SP from Haloatin, Amguri (Assam). The winners received a cash prize of Rs 20,000, while the runners-up won Rs 10,000.
Rongsenwati from Zenith Club, Lirmen was adjudged Player of the Match in the final.
Rahul from Mohima SP was named Player of the Tournament.
Yuvraj from Mohima SP was the Highest Run Scorer, while Meisupong from Zenith Club was the Highest Wicket Taker.
The tournament was inaugurated by Imliwapang Longkumer, Proprietor of MoK Express, Mokokchung, and Managing Director of Oracle School, Diphupar, Dimapur, as the chief guest.
At the closing ceremony, Sentimeren Longkumer, President of BJPYM, 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency, attended as the guest of honor.
