The 15th edition of Zoommax was a spectacular and vibrant two-day celebration of youth, culture, and creativity held during 27-28 March 2025 held at RCEMPA Jotsoma. Drawing a footfall of over 1200 attendees, the event saw enthusiastic participation from eight colleges across the state, six departments from Nagaland University, and students from Dimapur district, Mokokchung, and even neighboring Assam state.

With its electrifying energy and dynamic programming, Zoommax reaffirmed its place as one of the most anticipated youth festivals in the region. Day one opened on a soulful note with a powerful performance by the NUCF Choir, setting a warm and inspiring tone for the festival. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. K.D. Singh, Head of the Department of Management, followed by remarks from Mr. Seyiengol Viswentso, Convenor of the 15th Zoommax. The inaugural ceremony was further graced by Mr. Ruovilhoukho Chuzho, Founder and Proprietor of The Naga Feather, whose inspiring speech encouraged young minds to embrace their creative pursuits.

Throughout the day, the campus buzzed with excitement as students participated in a diverse range of events including: Business Plan, Cultural Fair, Business Quiz, Mad Ads, Voice of Zoommax, Dance Till Dawn, Sketch It Out, Photography Contest, Case Study, Mock Interview, Mr. & Miss Zoommax Beat Contest.

The events showcased not only academic and entrepreneurial aptitude but also artistic brilliance and team spirit, providing a holistic platform for students to shine. Day two took the energy up another notch, headlined by the thrilling Beat Contest, where 11 bands battled it out on stage. After a charged performance round, Stereo Groove from Mokokchung District stole the spotlight and emerged as the champions.

The much-awaited Mr. & Miss Zoommax event was pened by a folk song by the Nagaland University Cultural Club, which brought glamor and poise to the stage. Mr. Tsungchilong Jamir from Kohima Science College won the title of Mr. Zoommax, while Ms. Khetili Kath from Kohima College, Kohima was crowned Miss Zoommax.


As the festival drew towards its climax, the crowd was treated to a mesmerizing live performance by the guest band Trance Effect, whose dynamic presence and musical energy left the audience in awe and added a magical touch to the entire experience. The closing ceremony featured an insightful speech by Prof. Ditalak Mpanme, Assistant Professor, Department of Management and Zoommax Advisor. The event officially concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Thinoselie Kevin Kuotsu, Co-convener of the 15th Zoommax, acknowledging the efforts of every individual and group that contributed to making the event a grand success.

Zoommax 2025 was made possible through the tireless dedication of the organizing team, enthusiastic volunteers, and the generous support of partners and sponsors.
