Mokokchung, 22 September (MTNews): The Department of Power has informed that reconductoring of 66kV Transmission Lines near Naghuto village under Transmission Division, Mokokchung is scheduled from 25 – 30 September 2023. In this regard, Er Hekaito Assumi, Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung has informed that there will be total shutdown of power from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM daily in order to facilitate smooth execution of the works.
It was informed that the power shutdown will affect Zunheboto Town, Satakha, and surrounding areas. This exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply, it was further informed.
The department has appealed to the public in the affected areas to extend their cooperation and bear with the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
