Additionally, WDMA decided to open a joint bank account for official matters related to disaster management in Alahuto Ward.

The committee reaffirmed its commitment to continue coordination with the District Disaster Management Authority and the State government.

It may be noted that earlier, councilor Aye had made an urgent appeal to the Chief Minister of Nagaland to declare a state of emergency in response to the devastating landslide crisis in the ward.

The landslide on 7 July destroyed many houses leaving six houses completely damaged and over 50 households homeless with many more at the risk of being affected as the monsoon season approaches.

The SDRF has been conducting the demolition work for four days.

Councilor Aye also urged the state government to provide compensation for the damaged properties, estimated to be over Rs 2 crores and appealed to the Chief Minister to take immediate actions to address the emergency crisis and provide relief funds to the affected families.

  1. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything. However think of if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could certainly be one of the best in its niche. Wonderful blog!

  2. Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any problems with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to prevent hackers?
