Zunpha Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., Tseminyu was conferred the prestigious Best Performing Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) award during the NABARD Foundation Day celebration, held in observance of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025. The event took place at the NABARD Regional Office Conference Hall, Dimapur.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Shri O.P. Mounglang, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, followed by the welcome of the chief guest and an inspiring inaugural address delivered by Shri Paulianap Bulte, General Manager & Officer-in-Charge, NABARD Regional Office, Nagaland.
A special speech was delivered by Smt. DRCSN Nuiland, who commended the role of cooperatives in strengthening rural economies and fostering community resilience. The highlight of the celebration was the felicitation ceremony, where Zunpha MPCS Ltd. and NSCtB were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the cooperative movement.
The event also featured the presentation and release of the NABARD Annual Report 2024–25, offering insights into the progress of cooperative and rural development initiatives. Shri Orenthung Lotha, Commissioner & Secretary, Cooperation Department, delivered a special address emphasizing the critical role of cooperative institutions in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth.
A quiz on cooperatives was conducted, engaging participants and promoting awareness. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Shri Sarat Kumar Behera, Assistant General Manager, NABARD.
