The much-anticipated Naga Chef culinary competition is back with its 11th edition, bringing together the finest culinary talents in Nagaland. Organized by Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, this year’s competition promises to be a spectacular celebration of the region’s rich culinary heritage.


Naga Chef, the first-of-its-kind culinary skills competition in Nagaland, aims to enhance appreciation for the state’s unique indigenous cuisine while providing a platform for entrepreneurial Naga chefs. With a grand prize of INR 3 lakh, the event not only showcases culinary excellence but also fosters the entrepreneurial spirit among participants.

A total of 12 contestants were meticulously selected during the screening round, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a profound understanding of Naga cuisine. The selected contestants attended an orientation session at the State Institute of Hotel Management, Dimapur, on November 16, 2024. This session equipped them with vital knowledge and insights to excel in the competition.

The competition will feature multiple challenging rounds designed to evaluate the diverse skills required to succeed as both a chef and an entrepreneur. Each round will test contestants’ creativity, technical proficiency, and ability to present indigenous cuisines with flair.
