The NSCN/GPRN has welcomed 18 members from the NSCN (IM), led by former ESCM Theja Kire, who have joined the organisation.
The new entrants include Theja Kire, Kilonser; Roukuadilha Liezietsu, Kilonser; Macha, Kilonser; Neilalie, Deputy Kilonser; Sevilie, Deputy Kilonser; Zakietoulie, Tatar; Khrietouzo Theunuo, Tatar; Kedokhotso, Leacy; Kevikielie, Leacy; Avibou Kense, Leacy; Dzesevi, Leacy; Zepulie Thong, Leacy; Asau Zumvu, Leacy; Vizelie Kire, Razou Peyu; Kenei Kimha, Razou Peyu; Aviza, Khapur; Salie Angami, Khapur; and Imlikumba Kichu, Lieutenant.
According to a press statement issued by the NSCN/GPRN, the members are from various Angami villages and Kohima, while Imlikumba Kichu is from Mokokchung.
The organisation said their decision to join its “national movement” was not driven by “ill will or resentment against any other Naga political groups”. Instead, it said their decision was rooted in their commitment to and belief in the political ideology of the NSCN/GPRN and their desire to further strengthen the cause of Naga sovereignty.
The NSCN/GPRN described the new entrants as “home comers” and welcomed them into its fold.
