Changtongya, November 9 (MTNews): MH 10 Senior, CVA ‘A’ , MH 10 Junior and Tuli Volleyball Team secured semifinal berths after defeating Yimyu, Team Longsa, Young Spiker Club Unger and Ritsüng Rogo Akhoya at their respective quarterfinals of the 1st Imonungba Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy played at Public Ground, Changtongya.
The first quarterfinal match was played between MH 10 Kohima Senior and Yimyu, with the MH 10 Kohima Senior side winning with a score of 25/11, 25/15.
The second quarterfinal match was played between CVA ‘A’ and Team Longsa, with CVA ‘A’ coming out on top with a score of 25/15, 25/22.
The third quarterfinal match was between MH 10 Junior and Young Spiker Club, Unger, which MH 10 Junior won 25/5, 25/14.
The fourth quarterfinal match was contested between Tuli Volleyball Team and Ritsung Rogo Akhoya, with the former winning with a score of 25/19, 25/11.
Earlier in the day, the continuation of league matches from day one continued with MH-10 Kohima (Senior), Sumedem Club and Tuli Volleyball Team registering wins to book their places in the quarterfinals.
The first semifinal match will be played between MH-10 Kohima Senior and MH-10 Kohima Junior from 9:30 AM onward, which will be followed by the second semifinal match between CVA ‘A’ Vs Tuli Volleyball Team.
