A total of 20 companies have actively engaged in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across Nagaland. The details, revealed by The CSR Journal on 23 May 2024, highlight significant strides in sectors such as Health, Rural Development, Environment, and Education.

Techno Electric and Engineering Company Ltd emerged as the leading spender, allocating Rs 4.21 crore towards CSR initiatives. This was followed by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (Rs 2.24 cr), and REC Limited (Rs 1.91 cr).

Despite the surge in CSR endeavors, Nagaland remains less favored for such activities, according to the National Corporate Social Responsibility Data Portal. However, recent years have seen a notable increase in funding, with the state receiving Rs. 12.42 crore in FY 2021-22, compared to Rs. 3.57 crore in the previous year.

In an effort to attract further CSR investments, Nagaland hosted a three-day conclave in 2023 where Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated 52 projects, predominantly focused on health, education, skill development, and entrepreneurship.
