Wokha, February 4 (MTNews): Mhathung Yanthan, the incumbent MLA from 39-Sanis on Saturday held a short declaration program at the Lakhuti village playground with his supporters from his native village Lakhuti and well-wishers from various villages under 39 Sanis Assembly Constituency.

Yanthan stated at the declaration program that despite the fact that much could not be accomplished in the previous five years due to the global pandemic, he claimed that with the limited assignment and time, he committed to the welfare of 39 AC.

 

 

He also informed the congregation that with or without Covid-19 much has to be done, expressing that Sanis block needs more development and it cannot be achieved within five years.

 

 

He expressed that Sanis block is the heart of the Wokha district where it needs major infrastructural development. He also shared his vision and informed the gathering that many projects and developmental activities are in pipeline for which he seeks unflinching support from all the villages of 39-Sanis AC so that he will represent on behalf of his people in bringing desirable and remarkable achievements involving economy sustainability of his people and for the benefit of the region.

 

 

He lamented that the Sanis region is an economically backward area that lacks various basic development as per the social economic survey done by an expert under his initiative and the state government has taken into cognition. He reminded the congregation that he will selflessly commit to serve for the greater interest and the welfare of his assembly constituency.

 

 

Meanwhile, he said that he doesn’t deserve to be appreciated for various works done during the past five years stating that those developmental programs are his duty and he is elected by his people to serve, fight and claim what belongs to his people.

 

 

He also appreciated the leadership of Neiphiu Rio and informed the congregation that under the dynamic leader, the people and Sanis region will draw immense blessings.

 

 

Various supporters, well-wishers, and party workers from the Wokha region and assembly attended the program, spoke and witnessed the leadership of Mhathung Yanthan and challenged the people to come together and support stating that Yanthan is a man of God, a true leader.

 

 

The dedication prayer was said by Rev. Ezanbemo Odyuo, pastor of Lakhuti Baptist Church.
