The 3rd Boys U16 Inter District Tournament played in the 3-day Test format continued on February 24, with three matches across Chumoukedima, Sovima, and Dimapur, producing a mix of dominant displays and competitive comebacks.
At Chumu Village Ground, Chumoukedima recovered from a poor first innings of 59 to post 164 in their second innings, led by Ronak (31) and Nipuka (22). Kohima, who had shared eight wickets between Imkongtemsu and T Tenshing Phom in the first innings, could not match the target, bowled out for 58 and 79. Rohit’s 7/21, supported by Bendang Wapang and Vizotuo, ensured Chumoukedima won by 86 runs, with Wapang named Player of the Match.
Dimapur defeated Peren at the GNR Ground, Sovima, scoring 555/8 declared, including centuries from Kunal Kumar (150), Yash Poudel (141), and Chintu (111). Peren managed only 47 and 18 in reply, giving Dimapur a commanding innings and 490-run victory. Kunal Kumar was named Player of the Match.
At Sovima Cricket Ground, Niuland defeated Wokha by an innings and 218 runs. Wokha were dismissed for 38 and 32/9, while Niuland scored 288, with Ayush top-scoring at 77. Akash Gupta and Kitovi Sema shared the bulk of wickets across both innings, with Gupta earning Player of the Match honors.
