The 4th Referee Recruitment Drive concluded successfully on February 14 at Medziphema, organized by the Chumoukedima District Football Referee Board (CDFRB) under the banner of Nagaland Football Association (NFA) in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF).


The course was conducted by Joychandra Singh, Referee Instructor AIFF, assisted by Medozevi Punyü, Referee Instructor ‘C’ category AIFF, as stated in a press release by CDFRB. A total of 33 men and 6 women participated from various districts: Peren (10), Tseminyu (2), Tuensang (4), Wokha (5), Phek (1), Zunheboto (2), Chumoukedima (7), Kiphire (2), Dimapur (1), Noklak (2), Longleng (1), and Meluri (2) during the 5-day event.

The main objective of the course, according to CDFRB, was to build the next generation of well-trained and professional referees to enhance the game of football. The course included theory classes, physical tests, practical sessions, and viva-voice assessments.

The closing program was attended by Sunep Ao, Joint Secretary of NFA, and Kutu Sekhose, Head of Referees at NFA.
