Matchday 7 of the Nagaland Super League saw crucial shifts in the standings as Nagaland United Sports Club secured a 2-0 win over Red Scars FC, while Sechu Zubza FC dominated 27 United FC with an 8-2 thrashing.


At Chumoukedima Football Stadium, Nagaland United took an early lead through Y Lohe’s goal in the second minute. Red Scars fought hard but failed to break through, and Bokato sealed the win with a stoppage-time goal (90+2’).

In Kohima’s IG Stadium, Sechu Zubza FC delivered the most emphatic performance of the day, demolishing 27 United FC 8-2. R Mero starred with a hat-trick as Sechu Zubza capitalized on defensive errors and counterattacking opportunities.

In the third match of the day played at the Chumoukedima Football Stadium, Barak FC and Longterok FC played out a 1-1 draw, with Arap Konyak (3’) giving Longterok the lead before Laiwang (33’) equalized for Barak .

Following the results, Nagaland United moved to the top with 13 points from six games, ahead of Barak FC on goal difference. Barak, however, has a game in hand. Sechu Zubza climbed to third with seven points, while Longterok stayed fourth with six. Frontier Warriors (4), Red Scars (3), and 27 United FC (2) occupy the bottom three spots.

The top four teams qualify for the playoffs.
