The Centre Chakesang Sports Association meet began with the unfurling of the flag by the Inaugural Guest and the lighting of the torch by individual champions Mutsizo Lohe of Middle Khomi Village and Nuculu Dzudo of Proba Village.

In his speech, the Inaugural Guest, KG Kenye, Minister of Power & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Nagaland, encouraged the youth to give their best and pursue their respective sports disciplines with passion. He highlighted the significant improvements and changes in sports over the years, stating that there are now ample opportunities to build a dignified life through excellence in sports. He also warned about the dangers of excessive festivities and social gatherings among the Nagas, noting that they waste time and resources, often resulting in personal loss. He described this trend as a burden on society and urged the youth to engage diligently in sports with true sportsmanship.

The program, chaired by Vesuto D Vadeo, Vice President of CCSA, began with an invocation of God’s blessings by Kuduto Dazo, Pastor of Sakraba Baptist Church. Veposu Nienu, President of CCSA, delivered the Presidential address, while Shepo Dzudo, President of CCPO, extended greetings. The inaugural program concluded with the commencement of the 4×100-meter relay race.

The 56th General Session is being hosted by the Sakraba Youth Organisation in celebration of their 50th Anniversary Youth Jubilee. The sporting meet will continue until January 25, 2025.
