A pre-trial destruction of seized/confiscated Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was conducted at the MMC dumping site, Mokokchung, on 20 September 2025.
A total of 683 cases of assorted liquor, valued at approximately Rs 50 lakh in the local market, were destroyed in the presence of the Destruction Committee, headed by Mokokchung Senior SP Vesupra Kezo, NPS. The committee included the Assistant Public Prosecutor, representatives from Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), All Ward Union, and other relevant stakeholders.
The destruction was carried out in accordance with legal procedures, ensuring transparency and accountability in the disposal of seized items.
