The 6th edition of the Royal Enfield Mokokchung (REM) Honorary Award was presented to the Clean Mokokchung Campaign (CMC) during a ceremony held at Watch Tower, Mokokchung Park.

REM Chief, Moatemjen, in his welcome address, shared the history of the Royal Enfield Mokokchung club, which was founded in 2018 by eight passionate members. The club has since grown to 11 members and 19 riders, totaling 30 members. He stated that the club’s mission extends beyond riding motorcycles, as it seeks to recognize individuals and groups who contribute meaningfully to society. Each year, the club selects a recipient based on their contributions, and this year, the Clean Mokokchung Campaign was honored for its outstanding work in keeping the town clean.

During the award presentation, Chief Moatemjen formally handed the honorary award to the Clean Mokokchung Campaign. A CMC member, Temsutoshi, delivered a brief speech on behalf of the group, thanking REM for acknowledging their efforts. He expressed that the award would serve as encouragement for the group to continue their work, while also hoping to inspire younger generations to contribute to the betterment of society. Temsutoshi highlighted the modern challenges of pollution and the endangerment of species, and reaffirmed CMC’s commitment to making a positive impact on the quality of life in Mokokchung and beyond.

Deputy Chief of REM, Imtiyanger, the chairperson for the event, expressed his gratitude to all attendees and congratulated the Clean Mokokchung Campaign for their dedicated efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of the town.
