According to Nagaland State AIDS Control Society data made available on the Chief Minister’s dashboard portal, Mokokchung recorded at least 85 HIV positive diagnosis in a period of 12 months stretching from May 2021 till April 2022. A total of 7840 tests were undertaken during the same period.

 

In the month of April 2022, a total of 852 tests were made out of which 6 were detected to be HIV+ cases. In the same month, as per the NSACS data, a total of 7043 tests were done in Nagaland where 163 HIV+ cases were detected. Dimapur recorded the highest number of tests followed by Kohima at 1350 and 1004 tests respectively, where Dimapur recorded 81 HIV+ cases and Kohima recorded 23 HIV+ cases. Tuensang recorded 31 HIV+ cases out of 838 tests, the highest in terms of aggregate in the month of April.

 

During the period of 6 months (November 2021 to April 2022), a total of 35,022 tests were done in Nagaland out of which 795 cases were detected to be HIV positive. During the same period, 4265 tests were done in Mokokchung out of which 47 were diagnosed to be HIV+.
