The Molungkimong WWII Memorial Development Committee organized a memorial service today on the 77th anniversary in remembrance of the 12 US Airmen who lost their lives when their plane, a B-24 Liberator, crashed in the ravines of Molungkimong on August 11, 1944. During the memorial service, as the stars and stripes swayed in the breeze, a minute’s silence was observed, which was followed by the singing of the US Anthem. Floral tribute was offered on behalf of the few relatives who attended the program online. (More details here)
