Mokokchung, September 17 (MTNews): Distribution of aids and assistive devices to the disabled under ADIP (Assistance to Disabled Persons) Scheme, an Initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), was held at the Conference Hall of ADC (Planning), Mokokchung on Saturday, 17th September 2022.
According to the assessment taken from 5th to 8th July 2022, a total of 92 Persons with disabilities and 668 Senior Citizens (Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana) were identified in Mokokchung district. During the program, assistive devices were distributed to 46 PWDs.
Meanwhile, it was informed that distribution in the Sub-divisions will be done accordingly, which will be informed by the respective administrative officers.
