Mokokchung,September 22 (MTNews): The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, on Thursday told the Nagaland Legislative Assembly that Rs. 1.07 crore was sanctioned for road maintenance of Mokokchung town. He added that the maintenance work would start “as soon as the working season starts.”

CM Rio also explained the concept of ‘Mini Secretariat’ after MLA Imkong L. Imchen raised a query regarding the nomenclature of Mini Secretariat Complex. Minister Tongpang Ozukum also responded to his queries and informed that the Department was taking up the issue of renaming Mini Secretariat Complex.

Following this, Rio suggested renaming the complex as “DC Office Complex” and explained that the whole concept of ‘Mini Secretariat’ was to improve the attendance of district government officials and to have better security coordination.

“The concept of the mini secretariat was to bring all the departments together instead of functioning like separate entities,” he said.
