Mokokchung, September 29 (MTNews): The Botsa-Sendenyu Road PMGSY, comprising of eight beneficiary villages have informed that no one, “whether they be from the said villages or elsewhere will be allowed to disturb the contractors or workers in the site with demands or tax collection.”
In a press release received here, Botsa-Sendenyu Road PMGSY convenor Timothy Thong and secretary Kegwalo Kemp stated that the on-going PWD Road construction under PMGSY from Botsa to Sendenyu via Tsiemekhuma is being done at the old rate, for which sanction was made in 2017-18 but was dragged to this extent by litigations.
“Now that work has started due to the directive of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court and the esteemed department, the beneficiary villages comprising of 8 villages would like to make it amply clear that no one, whether they be from the said villages or elsewhere will be allowed to disturb the contractors or workers in the site with demands or tax collection,” they stated.
It was also informed that this stretch of road leads to the first Naga Flag Hoisting site at Parashen and will be black topped for the first time along with the adjoining villages.
“We would like to affirm that we will stick to our earlier resolutions that we will not compromise with the quality aspects and get the best out of the project,” they further said.
They also sought the cooperation of one and all to help them achieve their dreams.
