Mokokchung, November 21 (MTNews): The Basketball Association Mokokchung District (BAMD) in collaboration with Nagaland Basketball Association will be organizing the Nagaland Open Basketball Championship from December 13-16, 2022 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Basketball court, Mokokchung, a press note from Basketball Association Mokokchung District (BAMD) said.
According to the Association, there is a need for basketball lovers and the basketball community of Nagaland to revive and promote the game. Therefore, the Association, with an aim to bring all basketball lovers of the state together and to encourage young and old players alike to play more and contribute more towards the promotion of the game, has organized the open championship.
The reward for the champions has a cash prize of Rs. 60000 while the Runner-up will be awarded Rs. 30,000. The association will also award the MVP of the tournament with a cash prize of Rs. 5000.
It was further mentioned that the Registration fee for each team is Rs. 5000 while the last date for registration is December 8, 2022. Interested teams have been asked to contact 7005377858.
