Mokokchung, December 8 (MTNews): A Combined Annual Training Camp for NCC Cadets from schools and colleges affiliated to 25 Naga Bn NCC is set to be conducted in Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung from January 5 to 12, 2023.
Almost 450 students from educational institutions from the districts of Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Shamator, Noklak, Wokha, Phek, Peren, Chumukedima and Kiphire are expected to join the grand event.
According to a press release from the NCC, the camp will have a number of training and cultural activities like rifle shooting, weapons drill, map reading, field craft, first aid, song and dance etc. Live demos by Nagaland Fire & Rescue Services, band display, career guidance workshop, weapons display and other competitions with attractive prizes have also been planned for the event, it added.
It was also informed that ‘B’ Certificate exam will also be conducted on January 7 in the same venue. Cadets can either attend the exam from within the camp or appear as an outside candidate directly on the exam day.
It was also mentioned that those cadets who are returning from National Level camps are also eligible to attend the camp as well as appear for the ‘B’ Certificate exam.
“This being the first major training camp of the year 2023, a large number of students have already expressed interest,” the release stated.
25 Naga Bn NCC, therefore, has requested interested NCC cadets to contact their ANO/CTO for the online Google Form to register themselves.
“Due to the overwhelming response, the registration will be closed soon,” it added, and asked the Training JCO to be contacted at 9664039101 for any clarifications.
