Chizami, January 28 (MTNews): The task force members of Vevoyi, NDPP intending candidate, 17 Chizami A/C endorsed the statement made by the NDPP President Chingwang Konyak on December 14, 2022 that NDPP party ticket will be given to winnable candidates and appealed to the concerned authority of the party to uphold the statement made by the party president in letter and spirit.
This was done during a consultative meeting on January 28 at Rhododendron Resort, Kisama.
Recognizing the leadership of Vevoyi, the task force members claimed that he is the right person at the right time for the right reason for 17 Chizami A/C and resolved to support him unconditionally in the ensuing Nagaland State Legislative Assembly Election. Further, the members present endorsed the candidature of Vevoyi to contest in the forthcoming Election.
The members present unanimously resolved that all members from various political parties shall resign from their respective party posts as well as active and primary membership and join NDPP once the NDPP party ticket is given to Vevoyi in order to support his candidature and to strengthen the leadership of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and party President Chingwang Konyak.
“Vevoyi, an indefatigable youth leader who joined the NDPP on October 27, 2022, and has been relentlessly working for the wellbeing of his people ever since he became a student leader,” the members said, adding that he is passionate to serve the people.
According to the members, he is someone who advocates that “if one is too big to do small things then he is too small to do big things.”
