Kohima, February 2 (MTNews): In an interesting development, three NDPP MLAs Amenba Yaden, Picto Shohe and L Khumo have resigned from the membership of the Thirteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

Following their resignation, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly has declared the Assembly constituency seats of 21-Tuli, 32-Atoizu, and 57-Thonoknyu as vacant. NLA Secretary-in-charge Khruohitunuo Rio informed that the NLA Speaker has accepted the resignation of Amenba Yaden, Picto Shohe and L Khumo with effect from the forenoon of 2 February.

It may be noted here that as per the NDPP-BJP seat sharing deal, 21-Tuli a/c is given to BJP where Pangjung Jamir has been given the party ticket. Picto Shohe was also denied the NDPP ticket as the 32-Atoizu a/c was given to BJP where the party has fielded a woman candidate Kahuli Sema. Meanwhile, Heno Khiamniungan has been given the NDPP ticket for 57-Thonoknyu a/c which was represented by L Khumo in the last assembly.
