Over the past month, the District Administration, supported by the Police and NH officials, has been conducting eviction drives at various locations to facilitate smooth execution of the road construction and remove any encroachments on the NH compensated land.

The District Administration emphasized the importance of reporting any incidents of reclamation or encroachment along the right-of-way (ROW) or the sites of compensated land/area to ensure prompt action. Contractors and National Highway officials were instructed not to compromise on the specifications of the work along the designated road stretch. Any necessary rectification works were to be carried out on a priority basis.

To ensure effective monitoring of the project, the Deputy Commissioner directed the contractors and National Highway officials to submit weekly progress reports to the District Administration. This measure aims to ensure the proper implementation of all the ongoing works.
