Kohima, 19 July (MTNews): The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) HQ Kohima has extended its appreciation and congratulations on two notable achievements. The Union applauded S Phangnon Konyak, MP Rajya Sabha, for being nominated to the panel of Vice Chairperson of the Upper House, and expressed gratitude to Jagdeep Dhankhar, Chairman of Rajya Sabha, for nominating her to such a prestigious post.

 

As the first Naga woman to be nominated to such ‘prestigious chair’, the NCSU expressed hope that Phangnon Konyak will deliver her best service to the tribal people and the country at large and wished her all success in her future endeavors.

 

In addition to this, the NCSU congratulated Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, for achieving a world record in constructing the National Highway from Pune to Delhi (35 km) with a remarkable timing of 100 km in 100 hours.

 

“Under the dynamic leadership of Union Minister Gadkari ji, the country has been witnessing immense development of roads, specially National Highways and NCSU firmly aspires that he continues to achieve greater feats in the days to come,” the NCSU stated.

 

CM Rio, Dy CM Patton, Konyak Union congratulates

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton and the Konyak Union have also congratulated S Phangnon Konyak on being nominated to the Panel of Vice-Chairperson in Rajya Sabha.

 

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended his congratulations to Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak on being nominated to the Panel of Vice-Chairperson in the Rajya Sabha. Rio wished her the best and expressed hope that she will continue to make Nagas proud.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton said it is a historic moment as Phangnon becomes the first female MP from Nagaland to be nominated to the Panel of Vice-Chairperson, Rajya Sabha. Patton said her nomination stands as testament to her remarkable dedication and conveyed best wishes to her as she assumes this new responsibility.

 

The Konyak Union while congratulating S Phangnon Konyak stated that the appointment not only recognizes her “exceptional abilities but also brings great honor to the Konyak community and the Nagas as a whole.”

 

The KU expressed full confidence in her “leadership and passion for the betterment of the nation.” The KU believed that her presence in the Rajya Sabha will serve as a catalyst for positive transformations, contributing to the growth and progress of the nation.
