Kohima, 27 July (MTNews): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) held its general body meeting on 27 July at APO Building, Kohima.

 

At the meeting, the KPC formed three key committees to oversee specific aspects of its operations. The KPC Building Committee headed by Kopelo Krome; KPC-NBOCWWB Media Fellowship for Writing & Photography 2023 Committee headed by Vishü Rita Krocha; and KPC-NBOCWWB Media Fellowship for Video Journalism 2023 Committee led by Vincent Belho. The Conveners of those committees have been requested to carry out their assigned responsibilities with immediate effect.

 

In addition, the Press Club established an Election Commission for by-elections. Narain B Sagar has been appointed as the election commissioner, while KC Momin and Nchumthung Odyuo will serve as members of the commission.

 

During the meeting, the House passed the Audit Report 2022-23 presented by the three-member Audit Committee headed by Nzanbemo Khuvung as the convener.

 

KPC president, Alice Yhoshü who presided over the meeting, informed that the KPC has recorded the highest number of members in 2023 with a total of 66 members. The House also discussed several other matters pertaining to the welfare of the Press Club and its members. Around 40 members attended the meeting.
