Mokokchung, 28 July (MTNews): In a closely contested final match, Chargers defeated Mix 6 by 4 wickets to win the 4th Summer Sixer Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung today.
Mix 6 batting first managed to put up a decent score of 58/4 in the allotted 6 overs. Tongpang was the top scorer with 38 runs. For Chargers, Toshimeren and Neehal Rai took 2 wickets each. In reply, Chargers reached the target in 5.1 overs losing only one wicket. Man of the match for the final, Neehal Rai played a match winning knock of 47 runs from 20 balls. Tajen was the only bowler to take the lone wicket for Mix 6.
The tournament was organized by Titans Cricket Club. After the match, a short prize distribution program was held. The Titans Cricket Club expressed their gratitude to all the sponsors and well-wishers and also the 10 participating teams for making the tournament a grand success.
