Kohima, 29 October (MTNews): The three-day golden jubilee celebration of the Diocese of Kohima concluded today with a Eucharistic procession. Thousands of faithful participated in prayer and songs as they marched from the Cathedral to Dzüvürü junction and then back to the church via the South Police Station.
The final day of the jubilee celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharist at the Cathedral, presided over by Most Reverend Dr. John Moolachira DD, the Archbishop of Guwahati. In his address to the congregation, Archbishop Moolachira emphasized that the Jubilee is a time for celebration and thanksgiving. He also noted that it provides an opportunity to assess the current situation and plan for the future. As part of the celebration, 50 children received their first holy communion.
